Alison

Co-owner of Celestial Aerial Arts | Aerialist | Performer | Strength & Movement Coach

Alison is an experienced aerial hoop, silks and pole instructor with a lifelong background in dance and performance. Based in Grays, Essex, she brings creativity, discipline and a love of movement to every class she teaches at Celestial Aerial Arts, which she co-owns with Serena.

Alison began ballet at the age of two and tap at seven, performing in numerous productions at the Woodville Halls in Gravesend with the Carol Ann School of Dance. Her love of the stage continued through her Performing Arts studies and amateur theatre roles, including appearances in Aladdin and East by Steven Berkoff. A fan of physical and expressive theatre, Alison cites DV8 Physical Theatre as a major influence.

Her journey into aerial arts began in 2014 with pole dancing, and soon after, aerial hoop captured her imagination. She began aerial silks in 2016 and has never looked back. Alison is especially drawn to the strength, flow and creativity of aerial, and she loves choreographing beautiful, powerful routines for herself and her students.

Alison has performed in Circesque (2017, 2018, 2019) and won:

• 1st Place – Aerial Performance Championships Kent Regional, Instructor Hoop (2019)
• 1st Place – Aerial Performance Championships Kent Regional, Open Professional Doubles (2020)
• 1st Place – Aerial Performance Championships Kent Regional, Silks Professional Doubles (2023)

She also completed a 4-day circus intensive at Aircraft Circus Academy and has trained with well-known instructors including Chelsy Vaney and Hanne Coekelberghs.

In 2018, Alison began teaching aerial hoop and silks professionally and joined Serena teaching at Celestial Aerial Arts in 2020.
